A day in the forest

Kyoko yawned and hopped down from the tree she napped in. She looked up through the treetops at the blue sky above her and stood there watching the clouds.

Mizuki walked down the forest path towards the dojo. School had just gotten out and she needed a good work out.

Kyoko heard someone walking close by and saw Mizuki-san walk by. She frowned slightly but didn't say anything.

Mizuki stopped "You can come out. I hope you weren't trying to hide yourself, you're not very good at it..." She turned her head in Kyoko's direction.

I wander through the forrest, looking to the sky, smiling lightly, not really paying attention of were I was going. next thing I know I bump into kyoko and smirk lightly.

"hey Kyoko, what are you doing in the forrest?"

As always her arrogant attitude struck a nerve but she kept it out of her voice. "No I wasn't hiding, I was just relaxing." She turned to Zenaku, "Well I WAS having a nice day.."

Mizuki raised an eyebrow "If one person can ruin your day just by walking by ou, thats quite sad."

Kyoko smiled politely, "Wow Mizuki, I knew you didn't really go to school as a kid but I could have sworn you could count to two." she said jabbing her thumb towards Zenaku.

"I believe you were angry before Zenaku came. I know you get along with him." Mizuki said with a shrug "And I know you despise me."

As usual her unstable mind started to wander, not even the annoying presence of Mizuki could keep it on track. "Despise is such a good word, dont you think?"

I sigh and lean on a tree as the two argue, not wanting tointrude on this fight.

"Well if that's all then I should be going. I have an appointment." Mizuki turned to walk off.

Kyoko stared after her. "I really don't understand why we fight all the time."

"Nethier do I but alas we do." She began to head off.

"hmmm..." She started to jog after her. "Cya Zen, I gotta do something."

"Mmm?" Mizuki looked behind her to see Kyoko jogging after her "And what could you want?"

"I think we need to talk....well that and if I don't show up for a check up soon Matsura-kun is going to be pissed at me." she laughed.

"Its physically impossible for Matsura-Sama to get pissed." Mizuki replied with a straight face.

"Physically, maybe, phycicly? Not so impossible. I was a month late to an appointment once and he scolded me for ten minutes strait." She said as she caught up and slowed down to meet your pace.

"None the less I'm sure he wasn't truely pissed. It's not in his nature." Mizuki swung her school bag over her shoulder

Kyoko shrugged. "True, but a lecture is still a lecture." She stretched and looked up at the sky again. "I wonder how normal people can stand living in cities..it seems so weird.."

"I know you came to walk with me other than to make small talk. So what is it." She didn't even look at Kyoko, just kept her eyes on the path ahead.

"Ah..." she said. She started to twist around the beads on her wrist. "Well, I know everyone will always have a subconscious disliking for me..because I'm the cat....but Matsura-san and Zenaku-kun seem to have gotten past it...I was just wondering why the cat and the mouse have to always fight to." she shrugged. "Eh...maybe its all just wishful thinking on my part." she smiled

Mizuki shrugged "How should I know. I may be intellgent but I have no idea how hatred spurns."

"I think..." she said slowly, "it's because we don't really know each other. I mean, I have no idea what you are actually like, only what I hear from others and from what I can tell during our....spats."
